Facebook Chat question?

On my little sidebar there's a person who i never talk to on facebook, nor stalk their profile almost ever. They rarely post things. All of the sudden this week, the person is always in the top half of my chat bar, even when he is not online. I talk to a good amount of people on facebook, and the only person that never goes away is my best friend who i talk to almost every night.
Why is that person always appearing on my sidebar? Thanks!

Offline persons also appear on sidebar.

To solve this problem you need to make changes in your FB chat settings. I mean you have to choose to "Show online friends"
