How to introduce myself?

So about a month ago i was browsing plenty of fish to see if i wanted to make a profile. I came across a girl that i absolutely had to meet. But by the time i made my profile the next day, she had deleted her profile! No joke! Well i haven't been able to stop thinking about this girl, so i did some searching, and found her Facebook.

Now here's my question.
When i send her a message, i really don't want to come off all creeper status. Any thoughts on how i might approach my introduction? And girls, what would you think about getting a message like that, and how would you respond?

Mutual friends? you can always use them every once in a while, if your close with the person, then yeahh get them to go on skype or meet up with her or something, that always work's (:

if you can't do that then theres not really much you can do to keep your creepyness to a low but maybe comment on a status which she comments on and appear on places every now and again, she'll notice you (:

Or maybe just come straight out and tell her how you feel (: i'd always find that sweet but i think that you should just inbox her with a hey (: and then she'd reply i'm sure
