How do I change my regular facebook profile into a band profile?

My band has a profile page on Facebook, and I'd really like the 'becoming a fan' option along with the perks of the music profile. The help page is retarded and has nothing about this... can any computer whiz help me?

Maybe make a "Group" where people could add the group instead of "Becoming a fan" .

You can do status update with a message of joining your fan page on regular basis so all your friends will join you facebook fan page.
