Facebook Text smaller. Apps not fitting in screen?

I have noticed a change in my internet, and I have tried changing it several ways - not sure what I am missing.
1. The text on my wall in Facebook is smaller (Ive tried using the IE text resize at the top of my screen and that doesnt change the size)
2. On yahoo.com homepage the text at top is regular size but at the very bottom the links are small like my FB page.
3. Certain apps are nop longer fitting the screen - Farmville , and other Zynga apps are too large and I cant figure how to resize them- Mytown had an option to make zoom change and was able to change it for that one session-
Anyone know how to repair this??

CTRL and zoom works on the page bigger but not the text

To zoom in and out into Internet web pages, press and hold CTRL (any ctrl button) and scroll up or down with your mouse scroller.

This changes sizes of your webpage.
