How do I report an impostor facebook account that has blocked me?

So this impostor opened a facebook profile with my friend's name and lots of her photos a while ago. The impostor sent friend request to a lot of people including friends of my friend and a lot of them accepted it. When my friend found out about the impostor it already had a lot of friends and reporting didn't work (as I guess the fake account was very active). I sent messages to all my mutual friends with the fake account asking them to remove it. Apparently someone of these people is behind all these as s/he blocked both me and the real person. So now neither one of us can even see the fake profile. Facebook says to report any fake profile by going to that profile first, but it didn't work back then and now neither I nor my friend can even go to the fake profile. What should I/my friend do?
