Sony Xperia U/Sony Xperia P?

I currently have the HTC Desire, and I don't really like the size/memory too small; the speed and screen are good. I've noticed these two phones, but it seems like a big step between my Desire and the Xperia U (if I get it), so I don't know if I should get that one.

I use my phone for music (my music collection is not huge; maybe 1.6GB or so), texting (I text a fair amount everyday), taking picture (I only take pictures I upload to Facebook or Instagram), apps (Pocket Planes, Instagram, Jetpack Joyride, Flipboard, Coin Dozer), and I use it to check the internet sometimes (the small screen doesn't bother me).

This phone may have to last me 3 years. I like the Sony Xperia P as well, and I think that this just seems very sensible for me to get considering what I have now. I just think that my phone seems kind of big and I don't like the size as much, so it would be nice to have something that I can hold in my hand and reach every corner of the screen, but I'm willing to sacrifice that if the bigger screen is REALLY that much better.
I'm also considering the Xperia sola because it is sort of in between these two devies (it takes qualities from both devices; NFC, full sized SIM card slot, 5MP camera, etc.). I like this device, but it doesn't really stand out in terms of design compared to the Xperia P and U. I especially like this device because this is the smallest smartphone that is not an iPhone that has quad-band UMTS support, so I feel that this is nice.

I like this phone, but I just feel that it is not really for me (especially the screen size and camera are basically the same as my current Desire).

Xperia p is much better than Xperia u. Infact, Xperia p is one of the best Mid Range smartphones in the world. And it's just 4 inch. Not that big. It won't feel big. 4 inch is the perfect size of mobile phones.

Look the main difference Between Sony Xperia U and P are:-

1. A better Sun light legibility in SXP than SXU (Because of white magic technology)

2. Bigger Screen in SXP than SXU

3. More memory for storage (13 gb approx.) in SXP than SXU (4 GB approx.)

4.Better photography with SXP than SXU (But the Night Photography is very Noisy from both. You ll only enjoy the Day time photography )

5. Video recording is not up to the mark from both the device

6. SXP's Screen has oleophobic coating so it is finger print resistant at the same time SXU does not have oleophobic coating.

7. SXP has NFC and HDMI output

8. Processing capability is bit faster in SXP than SXU (though both have the same processor both Ram makes the process bit faster in SXP) .

9.SXP has a uni body design and the body is quite scratch prone.

10. when we think about the battery life, the both device's performance are average with normal use.

So my advice :- if you are looking for big screen , decent camera and a decent music output then go for SXP.
