Can the apps in Facebook really tell who checks my profile?

I have tried a few of these apps and they give me friends who I *know* haven't been on Facebook in a while and don't give me friends who I know *have* been checking my profile. So, these apps seem completely bogus to me.

I've tried looking up in Facebook's privacy policy to see if that information can even be divulged, but haven't been able to find anything regarding that. Perhaps I'm just not looking in the right place.

Well, they do get access to all of your profile information. But yes it's accurate.

Its just meant to be for fun, but they don't work. The ones that say who accually leave you comments works, but thats about it

From Facebook's Help Section:

Can I know who’s viewing my profile or how often it’s being viewed?

No, Facebook does not provide a functionality that enables you to track who is viewing your profile, or parts of your profile, such as your photos. Third party applications also cannot provide this functionality. Applications that claim to give you this ability will be removed from Facebook for violating policy. You can report applications that provide untrustworthy experiences by clicking the "Report Application" at the bottom of the application’s About page, or by clicking "Report" at the bottom of any canvas page within the application.

I dont understand some of your question, so I'm just going to ignore them parts.

The 'Find out whos been looking at your profile' or 'Whos been looking at my profile?' Or whateverrr groups are a load of poo. I know this 'cause its in the terms & conditions that facebook doesnt allow a notification or anything when someone is on your profile, thats how myspace died, everyone was scared to go on someones profile. DONT join them groups, cos they CAN give you a virus; they are a load of bull tbh. :]
