Facebook privacy - hiding online status?

I have a Facebook account and have changed the privacy settings to 'no-one' for 'online status'. Does this mean that even my friends won't know when I'm online (if they check which of their friends are online now)? Sorry, I'm a bit new to all this!

Unless you choose that option, then they won't know...
Facebook has several options on whether you want:
A) Everyone
B) Some of your networks and all of your friends
C) Only your friends
D) Only you
or...
E) No one

Those are your options...
