What should I do about this friend?

What should I do about this friend?
Okay, so I have a friend, we're pretty close, but ever since the start of the school year our friendship's been in decline. We were such good friends, but now whenever I talk to them on Facebook they give one word answers or say they're busy, when we used to talk all the time. They used to message me lots per day, and now they don't at all. They say they're busy, but they're always skyping with another person... It's also the same at school; they're always with this other person and doing shenanigans, and even though we sit together in classes I just don't have that connection with them. I wanted our friendship to be closer this year, but it's gone the complete opposite way. I feel I'm being oversensitive, but I honestly feel really excluded and it makes me feel sad. I know I can make new friends, but is there any way I can reverse this decline, to restore our former friendship? :|

Try to talk to them. Tell them how you feel. Maybe they don't notice that they are treating you differently. Or if they are doing it on purpose, maybe you don't need them anyway because that isn't a very good friend. If you can't talk to them in person, maybe text them or message them on facebook or write them a note. If you feel like it is worth fixing, don't give up.

It's tough cause you can't change another person... You can only change yourself.... If its because you changed and they don't like it there might be hope to restore the friendship... But if not don't hold your breath

If that person plays sports or does something for school like they're in a club or something join with them. Friends are made through socializing. Try and find some common ground with them or restore some type of common ground. And i wouldn't stress it because friends come and go. Relax just enjoy the school year and focus on what you're doing.

Ask them whats up. Maybe something is bothering them. Try talking face to face so she cant make excuses to go

Good luck

You have to be kidding! I have had the same problem. You aren't alone. You see...I was in colorguard right? & I made this group of so called "best friends". We had our own name that was all our first initials. We had matching bracelets too and always hung out together. Then I got a boyfriend and they didn't want to talk to me as much during practice. They made me feel very unwelcomed so I quit colorguard. Because I quit they disowned me. I'll message or text them to be nice and to catch up on our lives and they don't even reply. They are really fake. I made plans with my old best friend from that group and she ditched me for other people. People are fake. Something in the mind makes them do what they do. Don't wait around on people like that. You may be alone for a while...but you got to try to make some new friends. Forget them. If they want you as a friend they will come to you. I forgot about my "friends" & my life is actually okay. Dont waste time on people who don't use their time with you. Stay strong.
