Facebook privacy kinda sucks. help?
So I noticed after going to "privacy settings", there are only like 5 things you can change, and its simple enough that a six year old could use it. But this is what I want. When I google my name, it shows every comment I make and every wall post i make on public fan pages. I dont want that. I am very paranoid and I do not like my name to come up on google. I am disappointed about facebook's lack of privacy. There are dozens of pages of my comments and wall posts on fan pages. I don't want to have to go back and delete them all. How to I make it so that my comments/posts on public pages do NOT appear on search engines?

I have my privacy set that only friends and friends can see my profile, and I have it set so that my personal page cannot come up on search engines.

*making my account secret doesn't change anything. f*ck facebook.
*I am also not changing my facebook name.

Honestly there is nothing you can do at this point. I left Facebook over a month ago and went back to good old email. Also, online phone calls will be a good route to take to get in touch with close friends.

I always have to laugh when I see these sorts of posts because when it all comes down to it anyone that uses FB knows before they make an account how damn rubbish the privacy settings within it really are. (If people don't know then maybe they need to check things out before being so willing to sign up for those kinds of sites).

Yes personally I would suggest that you deactivate your FB account then go to the link below & follow the instructions on how to permanently delete the account! However even at that time it is possible there will still be traces of your ID throughout FB's Database.

How secure did people really think a Java driven social site was going to be cause FB will never be that! ;p
