It depends if they take their time in accepting you as a facebook friend. They can just ignore the request or they can click yes to be your friend. So it depends mainly on the person.

It depends. I have had people take up to a year, while others respond immediately. On average I would say about a month.

depending on the person you sent it to. if we say you are in USA and the other person is in china. then they will be sleeping when you send your request.. and then when they see your request they can either accept it or just ignore it, and if they do ignore it - then I don't think you will get notified...
