How can I encourage my parents to let me get a Twitter, Youtube, and other accounts.?
Ok my parents think Twitter and Youtube and stuff is unsafe. They can be, im 14 and i need some help to encourage my parents to let me get them.

Though I spend a lot of time on the computer, i have been trying to expand my "horizon" in the real world. And i have been improving but they still say no. I have been asking for years. Please help me encourage them, any ideas?

Thanks Smile

Twitter is a waste of time.
Youtube you don't need an account for unless you want videos up of yourself that pedos can use.
By others I assume Myspace and Facebook, both wastes of time as well.

Show them that you are responsible enough to have those kind of accounts by acting maturely in other areas of your life. If you want you could even sit down with your parents and look through the security options that those different websites have. And if you're okay with it, it might reassure them if you just give them your password so that they can check on you every once in awhile. Some of those things might make them feel more secure. They just care about you!

how about ask your parents to assist you when you access the Internet?
at that moment, you could explain to them that the Internet is safe
