What is happening to Facebook privacy settings?
Facebook is going through a lot of dramatic changes right now. There is hardly and privacy at all. I used to have my privacy settings set to "Friends only" which meant that people who were not my friends couldn't see me at all. Now that they changed the privacy settings, I no longer have that option. I was forced to deactivate my account because of that. Now I am only able to reactivate my account for like 5 minutes and then deactivate it again. I have heard that there are a lot of things happening to Facebook right now. I miss using Facebook and I want the old privacy settings! Do you think they will fix them back to normal? Facebook is becoming a more stupid version of Myspace now.

Since there is no privacy on Facebook I'm stuck with Myspace and I hate it because nobody uses Myspace anymore and Myspace is wack.

You're still able to set everything to friends only. The only thing you can't change to friends only or me only is friend requests. They keep make changes so you can make more things private so I'm confused as to what you're talking about.

If you change every setting to only friends or so just you can see then no one will be able to click to your profile to get to the option of adding you. If you haven't been on in a while to legitimately see what your options are then how would you know what you can do do and who can see you

I agree with you. I enjoyed and truly miss the old privacy settings. I loved being invisible to EVERYONE and the fact barely anyone knew I had facebook unless I friended them (since they couldn't find me). This ensured that I only had REAL friends on Facebook and not a bunch of acquaintances etc. Now I keep getting friend requests from EVERYONE I didn't want to know that I have facebook simply because the most secure "add a friend" option is "friend of friend". WTF? I want it to be "No one" like it was before.

I get that it's a social networking tool, but I don't think it's right that Facebook decides on our behalves that we MUST be visible (to people who have mutual friends with us) without our consent. Shouldn't we choose who we want to socialize with? It's annoying!

Tasha, is correct on facebook still has the friends only setting. If you didn't redo your settings after facebook made changes, than your privacy settings may have changed with it, some people on my list have said they had to redo their settings after the new changes came about.
Me, I didn't have change my settings at all I checked after seeing posts about this, so this may have only affected some people.
