How do people have so many facebook friends?!?

k, so there are people in my grade that are like 12-13 and some of them have like 700-1,500 friends
on facebook :O maybe this sounds stupid but that sounds like waaaay too much for a 13 year old...
do these people just add anyone or what lol ?

They probably have something on their profile that attracts a lot of people, or have the same interests as a lot of people.

Someone told me that if you play the games like "farmville" - alot of people that you don't even know will add you as a friend.... I know, I was wondering the same thing. I know someone that has 1,800 friends and wasn't even popular in school!!!

I think they are either friends from school, or they just try to look cool by saying they have all those friends when really they are just adding them. It's a typical teenager thing to do these days.
