Just go to profile and then click on your 'friends' and when the page opens on the left turn the tab from friends to only me..
This only happens on pc

Go to your Friends list Click on Edit and It Should Show you the Current Setting Change that to Me Only and That Should Do The Trick

1. Go to your profile and click on "Friends".
2. On the top right, click on "Edit".
3. The option within shall read "Who can see your full friend list on your timeline?" Choose "Only Me".
4. Once you are done, click on the "Close" button.

Your friend list will now be private to everyone but mutual friends will still appear.
