How do I make the account 100% private to where she has only friends see it?

Tell her to go and put all of her information on privacy settings except for friends

go to the privacy setting and change everything to "friends only"

and also what could possibly happen if her facebook isn't private? people would be able to see what she looks like. which isnt a big deal. i dont mean this offensively, but you dont need to worry so much

Click the little arrow by the home button, then privacy settings, then custom, then go through everything on the page and choose friends only. There are certain things you can't hide (like the profile pic)
