i need help with deleting some facebook apps.?

i have searched up this question and tried out the results. bt i think there's something wrong with my page because it doesn't show what i the results say it should...theres no x button or an edit apps button at all and the apps are taking over my wall. it keeps on posting stuff without my awareness.

Go to Account and click on Privacy Settings.

Scroll down to the bottom of that page and you'll see a blue link that says 'Edit your settings' under the Applications and Websites header. Click that and you'll see the option to remove the apps individually on the next page.

~~The X does not show up on the post till you hover your mouse over the top right corner of the post. When you hover, a grayed out X shows, then when you click on it, it lets you choose the option of what you are wanting (hide all postings from this app, hide person, etc.) So just place your cursor over the top right corner of the post and the X will then show.~~
