How can I prevent facebook from publishing my game activities?

What settings do I change so that facebook doesn't publish my game activities on my timeline? Like whenever I reach a new high score on a game, for example?

most games give you the option of having it post or not, so while playing the game, just dont click buttons that say "share" on them

1) Open your privacy settings, (click the down pointing triangle on the right of the top blue bar to open the facebook menu)
2) Select "games / apps and websites"
3) Click the "edit settings" button for Apps you use
4) Edit the games you dont want to publish to your timeline, by clicking edit on each one then changing the "Posts on your behalf" setting to "only me"

There should be something in the settings to turn it off! Also if you are looking to improve your facebook fan page and you could do with some more real fans then you could do what i have done and get some new people to talk to on there! Ill put a link in the bottem for anyone who is interested
