How do you get over someone who you love?

So I was with him for 11 months Nov. 20th would have been a year and he broke up with me last Monday.. I cried and stuff and then went out with some friends to take my mind off him and i thought i had got over it.. but last night I just decided to just take a look at his facebook page and i saw that he's with someone else, they had a picture together and right when I seen the picture I broke down cried for like 4 hours ugh. And I even took a look at her profile and noticed she was VERY similar to me, not as in looks but our interests. I even text him.. but all he said was to leave him alone and that he doesn't care for me anymore. I don't get what I did wrong.. I always tried my best to be the best girlfriend. He was the first guy that I was in a serious relationship with and I really did love him.. but he just left me for some other girl. It just KILLS me to think that someone else is right there with him, when that could have been me. How do I get over him when I STILL love him?

First of fuck him for leaving you, I wish I had a girlfriend that loyal to me. You will get over him, it just takes time.

Well he sounds like a bigger jerk then any person i've heard of. This boy (note: BOY not man) clearly is immature and has no idea what he wants. He's probably going through that phaze of thinking he wants something when he doesn't. Trust me, all boys do it.
He'll probably come running back at some point, but don't get back with him. If you see him, make it look like you're happy. It will kill him to see you happy without him even if he has 'moved on'. You are better off without this guy, if he treated you like that, then why would you want him back? I know what its like, i'm in love with my ex and he treated me like absolute crap, but i will get over it, and so will you. It's really hard, and it hurts, and annoying and cliche as this will sound, but honestly time is the best healer. This is going to sound awful, but try rebounding..not on relationship terms, dont date someone new if you dont like them but maybe just get with someone (as long as they dont want anything more out of it!) .it will help replace some of the memories you had with your boyfriend. That's what i did, then whenever i start to think about my old relationship i think about the memories with other people instead.Cry if you need too, there is no use holding it in, but eventually, you'll start crying less, you'll start smiling and it will feel naturual, and you'll start to open yourself up to new oppurtunites. I promise things will be okay. I SWEAR that they will get better, i've been through this, and i've come out alive, so will you. Stay strong beautiful! And don't forget to smile
