Is there a way to set certain privacy settings on facebook for certain people?

Like I wanna change my relationship status to in a relationship with _____________ (my gf) but I'm friends with 2 of my teachers and a lot of adults... Is there a way to make it so that teachers can't see the name of the person or should I just unfriend them?

you'll either have to unfriend the people you don't want seeing the message you wish to type, or you can write a code name for your gf then send private messages to all those that you want them to know the real thing, telling them that the code name really means your gf.
