How to stop facebook timeline?

I just downloaded an app....now my profile is in timeline format (for me) and will be made public by April 11th. What can I do to stop this, if anything?

I don't believe you can do anything about it. Facebook is trying to switch everyone to the new format, and they aren't planning on letting people go back.

They've only given me till April 7th... I think my use of facebook is going to diminish somewhat after that date...

You can easily go back to viewing the old style profile pages without timeline, you just need to follow this simple guide:
