How to get active twitter followers?
Ok so i'm about to get a new twitter account and i was wondering how to get active followers. By that i mean people who retweet, favorite and reply to your tweets. My current account has 299 followers but they're very inactive. I'd rather have 50 active followers than 200 inactive ones. So how do i get them? Any answer is very appreciated, oh yeah i'm a huge wrestling fan if that helps. That's going to be like the only thing i'm going to tweet about. Smile

Well you could try and get more Retweets or you could advertise your account on various sites. If you ignore the fluff this article lists a few such sides (scroll down about midway)

The retweet site I found to be the most useful.

First of all, I might be able to help you out with your question.
https://twitter.com/ My own resources.

In my previous experiences, I never really cared about active twitter followers. I more or less just thought ``the more the better.`` However, in the scenario you brought forth, I may have an idea. I started research the topic on how to get followers awhile back, and I got lots of different Ideas. I remember the most simple one. By simplly changing the hashtag to #teamfollowback on your bio. Another Idea that works all the time, is to simply search #teamfollowback and follow a bunch of the people that come up. You are guaranteed to get a bunch that way, and alot that might interact with you. If you want to find out who your following that is inactive, you can simply check it out at http://manageflitter.com/

However, if you're just interested in the followers aspect (just for reference) there's a neat website that can help you out. It's called FollowrPro. Basically, its a website that has a huge database of twitter accounts (mostly actives ones) that follow you when you submit an offer. If you need proof that it works, check out my twitter @thedanblythe. I got over 100k followers in about two days, just by simply filling out an answer. Check it out yourself at http://www.followrpro.ch.vc/

I hoped this answer helped you out!

Good luck getting followers

What kind of activity are you looking for in your followers? If you want to have followers that have close thing in common with you the only people you should have following you are your friends.

But if you really want some new followers to increase your popularity I suggest you join and stay active on a twitter exchange website. They are easy to use, its just an even exchange between other users like you, pretty clean and a fast way to earn followers.
