How do I remove the "link to facebook" message in yahoo messenger?

I don't use facebook nor do I have an desire to in the foreseeable future, but this link is dominating my messenger window so that in order to see my friends long on and off I have to keep it huge and in the way of my other open windows. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

You might try going to Messenger at top left, select Preferences, then select Connected Neworks. There is a link to Facebook, there you might find something to "unlink". I hope so!
