Does the Facebook Timeline Remove actually work?

I got a request from a facebook friend saying "Remove Timeline v4. " But it sounds fishy, I know there are a lot of scams on facebook. Thankfully I've never fallen for any of them, but I definitely don't want this to be my first one. What do you think?

I tried it and at first for like the first day it didn't change anything, but 2 days later there was a check box next to the Facebook search and when you clicked it it removed the timeline, so yea it works but it may take some time because it has to get through all of facebooks proxies and security and all that. *note it will only remove it from the computer you installed it on, because i got on my friends laptop once to check my Facebook and i had timeline, but when i got on my own, i didn't, so really its like an app that appears to remove timeline but just from you computer. Sort of like adblock

there is no way to remove it - everyone is being converted to the timeline - it's the new look for facebook, not an optional update - they are now forcibly converting everyone slowly without your consent
