"Facebook will be back soon" for more than a week. Why can I still not log in?

For almost 2 weeks now, every time I try to log in to Facebook, it tells me "Facebook is down for required maintenance right now," and to notify them by filling out a form if I still see that message after 24 hours.

When I fill out that form, I get a canned "Thanks for reporting this" response. I haven't heard back after that. I can understand server maintenance, but more than a week without any other message besides an auto-reply seems strange.

I have deleted my browser cache.
I have tried other browsers.

I have tried other computers at home and at work. Other people, including my wife, can log in fine, but I cannot. So I don't believe it's malware.

I also don't believe I've been hacked, because there doesn't appear to be any spammy posts from my account.

Changing my password didn't fix it, either. Now I'm knocked out of the iPhone app, too.

The one place I'm still logged in is the mobile Safari browser on my phone. Again, the app isn't letting me log in. But the browser remembers me.

Even trying the log in with the wrong password doesn't tell me the password is wrong. It still says "Facebook will be back soon." So it certainly looks like a problem with the server my profile is on. But for nearly 2 weeks? Seems weird.

Any ideas of what I can do?

you might have a virus if you are on a windows or linux computer. its not as often for macs, there are viruses for them though.
if not, try deleting your system cache, browser cache, ect and try again.
or try to delete toolbars...
