Getting mixed signals from crush? Should I let him go?

I'm a junior this year and I've been crushing on this junior for months. I don't mean to sound racist or anything, but we are alike. We are both music people. He likes the drumbs, i love the guitar I've never spoken to him in my life. My girlfriends keep telling me to talk to him and everything, but he's shy and I'm shy too. I added him on Facebook last year, but he'd always ignore it. We would always spot each other at lunch every other day. When I became a senior I realized that I'd only see him once a day at lunch. After I got my schedule he added me on Facebook. I told my mom about this because she's very understandable and she said "he misses seeing you". She brought up a very good point. I tried to get over him though because we would never talk at all to each other. Last year his friends would always give me this hatred glare like I did something wrong. It still continues this year because I have a few of his friends in my class. One day I was walking to lunch with a few of my friend when I saw my crush up ahead walking with his friends to lunch. He kept looking back every once in a while. I don't know what he was looking at. I doubt it was me. Then, he stopped and walked behind me to talk to his friends. But still we didn't talk to each other. Every day after school he walks to his care and I walk to my car. We both pass each other in the car. I can't make eye contact with him because I'm just too shy every time he walks by me. At the corner of my eye I see him looking at me. All of my girlfriends including my mom say that I should make eye contact with him to show him that I'm interested. I'm just too shy though. When he added me I kinds looked at his profile and he's single. I've never dared anyone in my life. Every now and then I get to the point to where I don't like like him anymore. Every time I say that something always happens that gets me attracted to him. Is there any chance that he likes me at all? Should I just move on?

hellllllll no! he is offering the D! just get at him..give him your number, tell him to hit you up, make sure you have a nice conversation first...depending if he is interested or not he will call/ text you....if he doesnt text you within a week keep talking to him, but you can also start preying for other guys..but trust me, he finds you attractive just talk to him and youll get some results. please answer my wuestion i need dating advice too
