facebook privacy help please!?

I am trying to make it so everyone can search for me on facebook, but they cannot see my profile picture. I've figured out how to make my profile picture album set to only my friends, but everyone can still see my current default profile picture and now i'm getting sketchy friend requests...

the new privacy settings are confusing-does anyone know how to make my default profile picture private? thanks in advance

I'm fairly confident that there is not an option for this anymore. Or at least I've haven't been able to find it either.

The whole point of the picture is so the friend requester can confirm that you are the person they are wanting to add before they do so. Not just someone with the same name.
