I have added people as my close friend I don't really remember but I think you go to their profile and click on the option icon and you'll see the close friends icon? I'm sorry if this doesn't work plz don't mind

Go to your friend's profile and click where you see 'Friends' with a checkmark in front, then you'll see 'Close Friends' as the 4th one under 'Settings' and above 'Add to another list...'

just o up to their facebook profile page and click on friends,there will be a box drop down on it says best friend and close friend,click on close friend and your set,
