how can i hide what facebook groups i join from my friends newsfeed?

i can hide who sees what groups i'm in but when i join a group i don't want it to show up in my friends newsfeed eg ''bob smith has joined the Abc group''

There are 2 ways:

1) You can change your settings in your mini-feed. When viewing your profile and your wall is up, go to "settings" in the upper right, just under the "post" button, and you can manually adjust exactly what will and will not be shown on your mini-feed. You can also do this through your privacy settings under "account settings."

2) Every time you join a group, immediately go to your profile and delete the story from your feed. It will no longer appear on your profile, however the story may or may not show up in your friend's newfeeds.
