Sorry this is long but I really need some advice.

It's been a while since my ex and I broke up in early 2009. She rebounded but then stayed with the guy and they've been together ever since, despite her still having feelings for me and acting on them in between. I loved this girl very much and I still do, but despite all the drama we stayed in touch... as "friends". I hid my feelings for her and life just went on. We didn't and still don't talk regularly but we follow each other on social networking sites (mostly Facebook and twitter) often. About a month ago I confessed I still had feelings for her... to no reply. So that was that. Then I find out that she and her boyfriend have broken up a week or two ago and she now interacts with me more often. She gives subtle hints that she reads my tweets on my profile by re-tweeting old tweets and favorite-ing them. Of course she's still heartbroken and I understand that but I really do wish for a 2nd chance. Should I reach out to her again? Or should I mute her off these sites? Seeing her tweets kind of breaks my heart but what if I let her slip right past me again?

The Internet (and listen carefully) is no way to communicate deep feelings with friends or family or loved ones. Trust me, I've learned from experience. You can't tell her how you feel online, it has to be person. The next time you see her, sit down and talk about how you feel, this way she can't just turn you off with the click of a button, much like a computer.
