on twitter when you want to ask someone something eg. i asked jr celski when he was competing

do i press reply to his tweet or do i go to my profile and press send a direct message

Any way will work. If he is following you, then you can use a direct message, but if he is not then you won't be able to send him one.

You can also post to him by using @jr celski or you can just reply to his tweet
