Is the following short English letter correct and polite?

Hello everybody,

I am studying English course in a classroom that is fully with international students. There is an idea came to my mind which mainly consists of two parts:
First part: about creating Facebook group to chat, share useful stuff and know each other more.
Second part: about meeting somewhere once or twice in a week to have a conversation class.

I want to write a short paragraph about each part in a piece of paper and pass it around in the class to write their names under each part that they would to get involved with.
So could you please help me in reviewing and modifying it (if required) ?

First part: about creating Facebook group to chat, share useful stuff and know each other more. Since we are from different countries, ages, background and we are studying together, it is a good idea to gather in a place where we can know each other more and be in touch after the course.
