Apple Ipod Touch HELP!!?

So i have the 2nd gen ipod touch and recently none of my apps will open, like they crash every time i try it. I restored my ipod and now it's empty. I tried installing the apps that i previously had (facebook, tumblr, twitter, instagram) and they all require a software update (IOS 4.3/5) but when i plug it into itunes, i get a message saying that my software is already up to date.

does this mean that the 2nd gen ipod touch is already TOO OLD SCHOOL that it can't support any of the current apps now!? i'm so sad. if the answer is yes, then that's bullshit. ):

Yes, you have to upgrade to the 4th gen ipod touch to get the lastest upgrade, they don't make it for the 1st, second, or third gen.

Sounds like you didn't have enough memory at first that's why the stuff kept crashing. Ya old iPods need to be replaced!
