How to Change my Facebook Name?

Hi, I am trying to change my name on Facebook for reasons of privacy.
I have never changed my name on Facebook before and so I have not surpassed the limit, but I simply do not have the option to write a new name in my account settings as I have seen in many youtube tutorials etc. This is a hugely frustrating problem- I just want control over my account!
Can anybody help me please?

have you accepted the email facebook sent you? if yes continue to part 1

1) log-in
2) click at the arrow pointing down and click account settings
3) at the first tab/row, it says your FB name, click Edit at the end of it
4) Type in your name, and save

facebook probably doesnt let you change it after a period of time because it's against the rules to use a fake name
