iPhone 5 vs Samsung Galaxy S3 vs Lumia 900? What phone should I get?
I'm going to get a new phone soon. I've been a iPhone user for about 4 years now. I like galaxy s3 and the lumia 900 but I'm afraid I'll lose all my apps and music I bought from iTunes and the apple store. Anyway, what phone do you think would be the most suitable for me? Also, can you tell me what each phone is good for? (ex. texting, Facebook, etc.)

I would wait. It's hard to compare something w/ the iPhone 5 cause we only know a little bit about it so far.

iPhone is a rubbish. If I were you, I would think of Galaxy S3.

There's a reason why iOS6 can be installed on from the iPhone 3GS model. It simply shows that iPhone is a powerful smartphone.

I know GS3. I own one and not all features are very useful like the NFC. If Samsung removes that then the GS3 could have been more affordable.

I like the design of Lumia though. I trust Finnish when it comes to design. Also Japanese who designed the iPhone 4 form.

The Lumia 900 is a great phone but it is limited to Windows Phone 7. A newer version called the Lumia 920 will be released in the coming months and will be far superior. It will have LTE (4G) support and a far superior screen. It will also have Windows Phone 8 which introduces many great improvements to Windows which the Lumia 900 won't get. If you are going to get a Lumia wait for the Lumia 920.

As for the iPhone, you are right, you will only be able to use your existing apps on a new iPhone. You may be able to get most of the same apps on Android, and possibly Windows, and some paid apps on the iPhone are free on Android, so you might not have to pay to replace them all. Most benefits of the new iPhone are in terms of software, which you will be able to get on your existing iPhone from tomorrow. Other than that it will have a larger screen and be a bit quicker. It is up to you if that is enough to warrant an upgrade. In terms of Facebook, the new iPhone comes with Facebook integration (although your old one will get this too).

The Galaxy S3 is an excellent phone and the best Android phone at the moment, but it is quite large. Much larger than your iPhone or the new iPhone, so this might be something to consider. But it has excellent photo tagging features and neat little things like the ability to watch videos while you are writing messages

As to which phone is best for you, I couldn't say, because I don't know you and it is not clear what sort of phone user you are.

I would go for S3. Here is a good comparison of S3 and iPhone 5. Check it: http://www.technostall.com/comparison-sa...-iphone-5/
