Does facebook on iPhone use data?
I have 2GB free data usage per month on my iPhone at the moment. I just downloaded the Singtel app to keep track of my data usage and realised that I've already used 930MB despite only having had the phone for a week. So I'm trying to figure out what I did that took up so much data already.
1. I go on facebook & twitter
2. I play Simpsons Tapped Out (does this use data too?)
3. I downloaded various camera apps and stuff like Angry Birds
4. I have NOT watched a single youtube video on my phone

So do you have any idea which one I did that used up so much data?

Yes. It uses up data.

Anything related with communication between your phone and servers the logic of upload and download applies.

The main logic is the internet is a vast network. Meaning you are going to communicate with a server of the webpage you are trying to view.

Any request you made for certain pages requires download. For example, you access http://www.google.com. You are requesting a download for .html, .css, .js, .flv, .jpg(pics), etc. any files needed to make the webpage work will be downloaded and it uses your data. They are small files like kb in sizes.

Viewing pics in facebook might have consumed a lot of your data.
