Honestly I think high school should be the youngest so like 14, until then I don't see a purpose. It'll help you connect with study groups, events, school networks, school sports. Until then you should just be enjoying your childhood have fun enjoy the non social network times because before you know it that's all it'll be!

Facebook is fine for any age as long as your parents are ok with it. You will mostly see content based on what you like and what your friends post so you should be fine. Just make sure you ask someone older who knows how to set facebook privacy settings to help you set up an account. Ask them to make sure no one who isn't your friend can see your information, posts or pictures.

In news reports Facebook have been reported saying that no child under the age of 13 should have an account, but it's really the parents' call. Personally, 13 sounds a good age to join social networks.

Frankly, Facebook should have never opened the doors to people not in college.
