GIRLS HELP ME OUT?!?!?
So pretty much I told this girl I like her about a month ago and she has been my friend for more than a year. She basically did the whole, "I don't see the point in dating anybody if nothing will come out of it (marriage, etc.) and I know it sounds horrible but why can't we just be friends?" I knew she would say this, but she was my friend and I had strong feelings for her and I had to tell her or else be miserable living with it. So because she was my good friend, instead of ignoring her after that I continued to be her friend and she asked me to hang out a lot and everything, which I didn't think would happen. Then, last week we went out to eat and she told me I'm too nice and that me being her friend is an example of that. So I told her it was how I am it is how it is and she came to pick up some stuff she left at my apartment afterwards. It was then when I told her that I wanted to clear things up with her because it was going to be the last time I talked to her. I said that I took too long to make a move and got too far into the friend zone and that I don't and never will see her as just a friend so the only option is to say goodbye. She looked at me and started to leave and said, "okay...thanks." And that was it.

I feel like I should have just broke it off with her earlier but what's happened has happened. One more thing, before I told her I liked her, I caught her numerous times looking at me and when I'd look at her she'd look away; she did the same thing even after I told her I liked her and she always touched me when we talked. Confusing!

Finally, today she sent me a private facebook message that said this:

Hey, Matt!
I'm really sad that we're not hanging out anymore/talking. But as we both agreed, it's probably for the better. I just wanted to apologize for putting you in an uncomfortable position during this time. It wasn't intentional, but at the same time, I feel responsible for your frustration/wasted time. However, I just wanted to let you know that I'm still here for you anytime. I still care about you. Anytime I'm reminded of Ghost Rider, rock/country music, the song 'Numb' (among others), macbook chargers, aggressive driving, etc, I think of you.
If you ever need anything, let me know. I owe you.
Have a great rest of the semester.
Your friend forever,
(her name)

Should I reply to this message? Also, do you think this message is a sign that maybe there will be a chance someday? Thanks.

I am a female so I know how we work. I think she does like you, but she is confused about her feelings, or, she likes someone else and you at the same time and is confused about who she likes best. Either way she's confused. If Ghost Rider and country music and that stuff reminds her of you then she obviously has feelings for you. Good luck.
