Can you have a gif as your facebook profile picture. . .

I'd like to know before I put the effort in to make a gif for facebook.

you can use a gif, but not an animated one - they get converted to jpg when you upload them

Hello. You can upload a .GIF to Facebook, but it will only upload the key picture.
Basically; no. No .GIF's work on Facebook, unless you have a link (Reddit.com, etc. etc.,)
