Why can't my friends see me online on Facebook?
I'm using an iPad but my friends don't see me online when I am. How can I change that?

Go to your chat box and uncheck the "off-line" section.

If you're on your iPad then they won't see the little green dot next to your name but they will see the iPod symbol next to your name. That just means you're on your phone, in this case your iPad.
