How do you make your facebook profile private?

I have a facebook profile but any one can see it if they click on my photo. I know there is a way that only people that you add as a friend can see your profile. I went to settings and set my profile settings to ONLY FRIENDS.....what am I doing wrong?
Hmm Ya I have all my settings set to Only Friends. I even have my search set so you can only see my profile pic and a link to add me as a friend. I have checked and double checked it all! Thanks for your input

Thats the only setting you can get.

From the Facebook homepage click "Settings" in the top right corner

Click "Privacy Settings"

Click "Profile"

On this page you can select who can see which parts of your profile. You may need to set all of these options to Friends Only. Some settings give access to people who are in the same network as you (I think this is the default setting).

it should work, but remember people can still see if they have a friend who is friends with you, so make sure it says to 'only friends' and not friends friends'. Does that make sense?

On your home page click onto settings, then privacy settings.
You want to change the way that people view your profile.
