How do you add someone on Facebook when their privacy is set to friends of friends?

When your not friends with any of thier friends?
There is no button that says add as friend, when there usually is.

You should still be able to "add" them. They will see a friend request from you. Keep in mind that they will have to approve the request and confirm you as a friend though.

You would need to send them a message and request for them to add you. They changed their privacy settings so random people couldn't add them
