The other day I catched my friend checking my facebook friends & I was wonder why would that person want to know.

Probably wanted some of your friends, or they saw somebody they wanted to get to know, or they are just weird..

Probably looking to see if you knew certain people that they are not Facebook friends with. Or if they've met some of your friends and they aren't Facebook friends, to look for them to add.
I occasionly have a quick glance over some friends Facebook friends to see if they've got any hot single friends they can hook me up with.
