Mum wants my Facebook password?

I have just turned 13 and because it's now officially legal, I want to get Facebook. But... My mom wants the password for my account. I don't know what to do. I really want Facebook but I want to have a private life with friends and boys as well. I know she's only trying to look out for me but I don't think it's really fair that she's snooping around. I'm not stupid, Im not going to go adding people unless I really know who they are. Please give good advice!

Ask her why she wants your password, then tell her it's because she
doesn't trust you. Then say that she thinks that you're always irresponsible
for what you're doing and that you can never mature like the other kids
your age, so it's harder to make more friends. After that, tell her if she
respects your decision and other decisions you will make in life, so she
would let you enjoy what you want to do as grow up into a full teenager.

When I was 13 My Mum also wanted my password. So I made 2 accounts! One was mine the other one fas the smoke screen. But every week or so I wold update my Fake account so my mum doesnt get suspicious, I added all my "good" friends on the fake one. First couple of weeks she always ent to my fake Facebook and checked what was I up to but after a while she just left it. But dont put your real name or she might find it out!! I for a example was the Basketball Captain in my school so they nicknamed me King Mike and only my closest friend and my school knows that Name. So I created the FB for me as King Mike and to be honest people wold find me only if I wanted them to. If you do get caught tell your Mum that you didn't wanted to disrespect her but you are groen up and you need some privacy
