Does this boy like me? Is he shy?

So I have liked this guy for about 3 months now, since he came to my school.
We've never talked in person, though I have talked to him on Facebook about 3 times.
My friends tell me that he always stares at me in class, or whenever he sees me walking past him he has a smile on his face. I have caught him staring at me before, or sometimes if he catches me looking at him he has a goofy grin on his face.
I have bumped into him once by accident, and I apologised and he looked like he wanted to say something but went read and stuttery.
Sometimes if I'm walking in a group with my friends he will completely avoid eye contact with me, or just look at the ground if he walks past. He has purposefully walked in front of me once or twice and stares at me as he passes. He has waved to one of my close friends a few times, but all he does is like at me shyly as he walks past. Sometimes he looks for me in crowds when he sees my friends, and because we have a class next to each other he waits outside and looks for me. I think he's very shy because even when I talk to him on Facebook he isn't really that talkative. He also seems to stand with his back to me alot, I'm not sure why? Could this mean he doesn't like me?

Sounds like he likes you he just has a bad case of shyness. If you like him as well. Just go for it. sometimes the girl has to make the first move and go after what she wants.

Well i tend to do what he does too,from what i can say is that he probably finds u attractive,but its just hard for us guys to make the move..sometimes we feel like a girl like you could possibly get a much better guy instead of ourself,so we tend too back off
