I'm trying to create a Facebook group that anyone can join but when I did, no one could find it?
I'm part of my school's network, so maybe that affects it. And all the privacy settings for the group say that it's an open group. Anyone I was friends with could find it, but I created the group for my residents (I'm a Resident Assistant in my dorm) and none of them could find it. Can anyone help?

Having never tried to create an open group before I am guessing that it might take some time for the servers to get the group up so people can find it?!?
Your friends would be able to find it because they will be associated to it from you.

How long has it been open now?
Can nobody find it yet?
Did you try inviting some of the dorm residents to the group?
