What do you think of this facebook group regarding abortion?

Abortion is a huge controversial topic, because a fetus's heart is already beating by the time most people get one. It starts at around 26 days on average. I think telling somebody who feels guilty about an abortion , telling them something like that, will only make them feel worse, but if they feel guilty, maybe they shouldn't have done it. As for the last question, I can't answer that. No opinion.

I don't think they're a group that was set up to help people who had abortions deal with them so I don't think that is their concern. I think they have a right to their beliefs. Who knows, maybe there's an "Abortions are awesome" group out there for pro abortion people.

Everyone has their own views and opinions. Facebook has plenty of different pages to which you can "like" or "become a fan." No matter what anyone says no one is going to agree about abortion. If the heart is beating, it should be considered murder BUT it's in your body so you have the choice. In my opinion, it doesn't matter what type of page they are making. They do not write on any FB walls and they do not force you to become a fan. If you feel guilty than you shouldn't do it. If you don't than move on with your life. If you are apart of abortion I wouldn't consider you a father. Abortion is to make it seem like it never happened. If you are against it, than i'm sorry for your lost and that your partner had to be so selfish.

I think it's condescending and rude..but hey...we're in the USA..so people are allowed to have an opinion! Sad

I had an abortion. It's very depressing to think of it. I had a medical risk and didn't want to..from the bottom of my heart I BEGGED God to make it all a terrible dream. My risk was small, but a definite chance I couldn't fathom to take with my baby and I miss them everyday. I am EXTREMELY depressed about my abortion. I don't speak for anyone but myself.

It hurts me, honestly..even though it shouldn't. It REALLY hurts my feelings..I live in a silent shame...it's an unspoken problem that women suffer with daily.

I feel both parties are responsible.

A baby has unique genetics from the mother, it is not just another part of their body they can remove. Think about it, what if your mother had an abortion? Beethoven's mother had 8 children, the majority of them handicapped in some way. What if she had chosen abortion?

Edit:
If a father's son dies, he is still a father.

Well its not an easy choice of course, you have to consider your life where its at right now and where you want it to go, and if you want to deal with everything that comes with being pregnant and can or cannot afford to care for a baby at this time of your life. Abortion ends an UNWANTED PREGNANCY. Pro lifers want to solve everything with putting it up for adoption. But by just being pregnant a womans life can take a dramatic turn to an unfavorable path. Women who choose abortions are not irresponsible, they are taking responsibility by making the choice of when they see favorable that they are fit to create a family. Abortion is just another form of birth control and birth control helps better family planning, and assures that more born babies have better care from their parents because of the choices given to the mother to control her reproductive organs as she sees fit in her life. More wanted pregnancies, better taken care of babies. And about that quote you mentioned, all they want to do is appeal to emotion and if you make big life altering decisions by letting yourself be taken by emotions cannot end in the best outcome you would of liked if you were to really think about it and make logical and rational decisions.

LOL. They're just making themselves look like the bunch of idiots that they are. "Unpregnant". That's beautiful.

And no, I do NOT think it's an appropriate thing to say. As a woman who's had an abortion and does not regret it, I'm glad I can just laugh at it because I think it makes anyone who says it sound stupid. But other women who have had abortions are not going to have the same reaction.
