Adblock Plus for Chrome doesn't block Facebook ads anymore?
When I first got Adblock Plus it blocked them, but now it blocks ads on every other site but Facebook. Does anyone have the same problem, or does anyone know how to fix this? Facebook ads are particularly annoying.
If we had to pay for Facebook, I am quite sure that most people would stop using it. So I will go ad free, thankyouverymuch.

Don't worry about the Facebook ads. if you often use Facebook and you want to be free forever then just leave the ads there or someday we all will need to pay to use Facebook!!

If the ads have the title "Ads not by Facebook" that means they are being inserted by an adware / malware program. To get rid of it, first uninstall any browser extensions or other software that you have installed recently, and are not sure about, as its quite likely one of those is inserting the ads.

If that doesnt work, the next step is to do an antimalware scan. I recommend "MalwareBytes Anti Malware" and also "Super Anti Spyware". Sometimes its worth scanning with both, as sometimes one program will catch something and the other wont.

Once you have cleaned out the malware. A good solution for hiding the "normal" facebook ads that Facebook displays itself, is to install the FB Purity browser extension, which hides all Facebook's own ads. It also has lots of other options for cleaning up other types of facebook junk. Its been reviewed and highly rated in the Washington Post, CNET, Lifehacker and PCWorld.

You can get it here: http://fbpurity.com

I had the same problem, but you can fix it. In ABP, go to Filter preferences > Allow some non-intrusive advertising. The box is probably ticked. Un-tick it.
