how do you get popular on facebook?

How does one become popular on fb cuz like say a pretty girl posts a photo she gets 100 or something likes, but if i post a photo i get none or at most 2. like what are the secrets? to getting likes, friends, etc... no bad answers please i really wanna know.

If you want to get popular on Facebook then i must say you are on wrong track for this you should do some creative things like singing songs, dance and that video you can upload on YouTube and with the help of your friends networks you can make it popular by convincing them and then you can create your own page on Facebook.

Everyone who answered on this question with a hateful response saying "You're wasting you time", aren't YOU wasting YOUR time just by answering in the first place? You didn't even help the asker!


Anyway, the honest truth I can tell you on this is Facebook isn't just a "Create a profile & become famous" website. Unlike Myspace, Facebook has always been based more on actual life. Add people you personally know, from school, work, social events, etc. & they'll be able to relate to your posts more(You can't expect to add people from 3rd world countries & expect them to understand "Oh man my brother just blew up our mailbox with a cheery bomb, my dads going to KILLLL him!!" Someone in Iran reading that might think you're being brutalized!!!"

You don't have to 'dress like a hooker' as one of the previous answerers stated. If someone posted a picture of themselves doing a strip tease with their bathroom mirror, they don't have much of a chance of getting a 'like' from me. There's a better chance of me liking someones family vacation or graduation event.

Posting statuses like "Eating a bowl of cereal!" could get a like...OR you could post upbeat informative posts like "Party at @Johnny's play tomorrow night! BE THERE!" or make a funny unique post that'll make people laugh(UNIQUE is key there. - I literally see a dozen people post the same thing within a month or two period of time, & after the first or second time, it's just not funny or 'likable' anymore. Oh yeah, & there's also my "Dude, I saw that on Twitter!" reaction).

Not sure what else to say...Just remember to socialize in real life, that's something that really makes your social networking grow. Let people know who you are. - Even if it's through Youtube, tumblr, or some other website; all those people get famous on the internet because people know who they are.

When you upload a picture just tag maximum persons as it says you have tagged maximum number of friends.then your picture will be shown to the friends of your friends.
