there are many ways to find a friend.
you can preferably ask ur friend's email id and then search the email id in the facebook's search bar.

use the search bar to look up some of your friends

keep in mind it's against the rules to spam yahoo begging for friends, and it's against the rules to add people on facebook that you do not already know

Now a days its very difficult to increase friend list...fb communties will block your req. For some time if you send request to unknown users.
